We’re honored to share that Chef Bill Briand was recently featured in SoulGrown, in an article exploring the connection between food, collaboration, and storytelling across the South.
Titled “Four Chefs in a Kitchen: A Study in Collaborative Storytelling,” the piece brings together several respected Southern chefs to discuss how their backgrounds, memories, and communities influence the way they cook. Chef Briand’s contribution reflects the same values that shape little bird: hospitality, intention, and food rooted in personal experience.
The article examines how chefs use ingredients, technique, and shared meals to tell stories that go beyond the plate. For Chef Briand, that story is deeply connected to family, the Gulf Coast, and creating spaces where guests feel welcomed and cared for.
“Food has always been about connection,” the article explains, highlighting how each chef brings their own perspective and history into the kitchen.
We’re grateful to SoulGrown for including Chef Briand in this thoughtful feature and for recognizing the heart behind the work being done at little bird.
